		<description>Actually those genes would be unrelated since they&#039;d be housed on different sets of chromosomes and affect different cells in the body. But that&#039;s the thing about passing on genetic material. You get the good genes and the bad genes 3 billion bases at a time.</description>

For example, soldiers in active war zones and people who live in dangerous places survive partly thanks to luck. Also it doesn&#039;t include inheriting crappy genes either.



The same genes that carry a propencity for higher intelligence might also carry traits that trigger diabetes, heart disease and a liver that turns everything one eats into sludge.
