yet another way to make a flying car

It’s all fun and games until someone decides to stick a car onto a replica of a shuttle launch system and send the whole thing screaming into the sky. Or at least this is what the crew at Top Gear decided to do with one of the most aesthetically repelling machines to be manufactured in England, the three wheeled Reliant Robin.

Quite honestly, I’m not sure what more can be said about this crazy experiment other than that the Mythbusters would be more than willing to replicate it if given the chance. And a few rocket scientists from NASA…

    Aw, man, I laughed and laughed. It reminded me of the old days — early 1960s — down at the Cape when things blew up regularly and the range safety officer’s thumb was callused from pushing the ‘destruct’ button.

    For the first time – a tape of a rocket launch where I wasn’t running a mental loop of “oh, I wanna go, I wanna go!”
