and speaking of the size of the universe…

It’s a great big universe and we’re all really puny. It hard to really put just how big the known universe really is in proper perspective, but we can try.

In my opinion, there are two things we can take away from this. We can be amazed at the sheer amount of stuff out there, or we can be terrified that instead of a cozy little existence occupied largely by our world, we’re more like a hydrogen atom compared to the size of our entire planet. And which reaction comes to your mind first and what you do with it can probably tell a lot about your mindset to a curious observer…

    125 billion galaxies in the “visible universe?” Good to know. I’ll now shift my anxieties back to the invisible universe(s?).
