All of Wall Street? At the current rate of $10,000 per lb. and with an average weight of around 600,000 tons per building and say about 50 buildings to transport, we get...

1.2 billion lbs. &#215; 50 &#215; $10,000 = $6 &#215; 10&lt;sup&gt;14&lt;/sup&gt;

... or about $600 trillion which is about 8.7 times the global GDP. So when we have to make a choice between bailing them out and sending them to the Moon, it&#039;s cheaper just to give them several trillion in loans. 

Though really, we didn&#039;t have to bail them our as I&#039;ve written before on this blog and in BusinessWeek, but that&#039;s a completely different topic...</description>
