At the current rate of $10,000 per lb. and with an average weight of around 600,000 tons per building and say about 50 buildings to transport, we get... 1.2 billion lbs. × 50 × $10,000 = $6 × 10<sup>14</sup> ... or about $600 trillion which is about 8.7 times the global GDP. So when we have to make a choice between bailing them out and sending them to the Moon, it's cheaper just to give them several trillion in loans. Though really, we didn't have to bail them our as I've written before on this blog and in BusinessWeek, but that's a completely different topic... reggie,
