gratuitous hyper-car racing in the uae
While no one could ever replace the Mythbusters’ top spot in my catalog of greatest jobs ever, the hosts of Top Gear come awfully, awfully close. I mean, they get a direct feed into the BBC’s cavernous pockets to do simply amazing things like taking a Lamborghini MurciĆ©lago LP 670-4 SV into the Arabian desert, then scream down the main highway of Abu Dhabi, closed down just for them, while trying to best a Mercedes SLR McLauren…
How can you possibly have a bad day at work when you get to test drive amazing cars in exotic locations? Not even the toughest shooting schedules could take away from the fact that you’re behind the wheel of a moving piece of virtually handmade automotive excess which costs as much as some people’s domiciles, and while thousands of people would shell out a lot of money for the chance to do that, you’re being paid for it. Oh and I should also mention that later in the day, Richard Hammonds gets to swap out his MurciĆ©lago for a McLauren F1 and a Bugatti Veyron for another hyper-car race through the highways of the United Arab Emirates. Truly, not a bad day at work by any stretch of the imagination.

Sounds fun and all, but do they have the privilege of doing mundane paperwork in triplicate? Yeah, didn’t think so! One can only requisition that much fun!
